At the end of our activities in central Chile the Swiss Ambassador Andre Regli invited us to a Swiss cheese Raclette.
Back on Pachamama there was - and still is - a lot of work to do.
At the weekend we went together with our Swiss friend Ramon to the Huerquehue National Park in the IX Araucania Region. The Park starts at the Lago Tinquilco and is close to the volcano Villarica. This volcano we passed with our bikes and did a clean up on the TOP some month ago.
Thanks to Park Ranger Alex and Gumercindo we got a good picture of nature conservation in Chile. We hiked 3 days in the wilderness and collected nature's beauty and another good example for the next school visits and presentations.

At the beach of Lago El Toro on 1200 m and Mount San Senastian in the distance we have had our second nigth. Ramon's tent shows the problem: - it was very hard because too many tries and no space for a tent. But the view was spectacular!
The other problem was the cooker. With all tricks we could not open the burner to fill it with alcohol. We already thought to catch some lizards, because we were so hungry from hiking and uncooked pasta is not good for the milk production of Sabine...But than we took the Victorinox multitool and got a excellent hot meal by star cook Ramon.
After this welcome rest and back from the wilderness on the boat, Salina has had her 6-month birthday and enjoyed the fishes from grandmother Rosi. Daddy and Mom started again to reduce the to-do-list. Dad's goal is to halve it till his birthday next Sunday...... everybody is welcome on his birthday next Sunday 16th of October 2005 after 18 p.m. on Pachamama!
