challenge - goodbye party - presentations

P.S. Bitte vergisst den TOPtoTOP Jahresbeitrag nicht. Informationen dazu unter den NEWS.

Good arrival

We have had a nice and successful time in Switzerland:

- The Swiss Ambassador in Chile Andre Regli was able to bring us in contact with Victorinox. Result: Victorinox will support TOPtoTOP for the next 3 years!

- Together with Peter Storm, we finished the application for the Rolex award for enterprise.

- We have had a successful TOPtoTOP-sports-camp with clean ups in the Engadin valley for young people and families.

- Together with Thomas Lohbeck, we updated our website.

- I was able to work as a mountain guide and earn some money.

..and finally our family and friends enjoyed the opportunity to see Salina once.

In total we have had 51 meetings in these two and a half months with sponsors, supporters, environmental organizations, projects and companies. Our objective was to get sponsorship for the continuation of TOPtoTOP and to collect as many Swiss innovations for a green planet as possible.
Thanks to our families and friends, who have done a great effort that we were able to manage all appointments and achieved our goals!

On the long fligth to Santiago de Chile we were able to recover. The Swiss Ambassador in Chile Andre Regli invited us to stay in his house during our school visits in Santiago and surroundings. Our objective is to do school visits and public presentations in Santiago de Chile, La Serena, Los Andes, Vina del Mar and Valparaiso till end of September, before we return to Pachamama and build together with ALWOPLAST a reference for the cruising world and show what is possible with environmental friendly technologies.

Please do not forget to pay the annual TOPtoTOP membership, so that we are able to realize our vision: TOPtoTOP as a lasting institution to inspire children for a better future.

we enjoyed to do sport in nature

The Swiss Ambassador Andre Regli (left) invited us together with his secretary to the ski resort Valle Nevado. From our base cape, the Swiss Residence in Santiago, the powder snow is only 45' away. The mountain above the ski area has already an altitude of 5400 m.
For Salina it was the first time on a ski lift, the first time over 3000 m and her first ski experience. Also Sabine was really keen to ski. Since the start in Switzerland, where we climbed non stop every highest TOP of each of the 26 departments, she did not have the opportunity to ski.
In the morning we enjoyed the knee deep fresh powder (see our tracks on the hill behind us) and the view down to Chile's capital, Santiago.

We enjoyed it so much to ski in this wonderful mountain range and to have once more the direct contact with nature. Thanks so much Mister Ambassador to make this dream come through.

After such a wonderful and sportive day, stretching and food is important; - Salina's first real food on the 13th = banana.

During the week we have had great fun with our school presentations in Santiago. Now, we are looking forward to get the ideas for a green planet from all the schools we visited. - Thanks again to the Swiss Ambassador for the invitation to stay at his house.

Note: We met 3 journalists this week. Article will be published in Swiss info, Mercurio and Condor.
